This is a follow-up to the piece I wrote last week on ancient fertility practices and modern fertility. Since one of the pillars of why I created this platform was to support women in understanding how to support their bodies through the many changes that life throws at them and to heal at a metaphysical level, I wanted to include the herbal and ritual supports that one can prioritize throughout their cycle. These herbs support our hormones in regulating and coming into balance to create the most fertile environment to conceive in.

I developed this routine in response to my learnings from Indigenous communities about their practices and my understanding of the science behind our hormones and how they function throughout the month. If you are not doing so already, cycle tracking is an extremely powerful way to reconnect with your body and begin to understand the your rhythms and cyclical nature. These are herbals I drink throughout the month to support my fertility and body awareness.

Phase 1: Menstruation (Days 1–5) — “The Reset”

  • Focus: Rest, detox, warmth, and womb care.

  • Energetics: Let go. Reset. Deep inward listening.

Herbs

  • Raspberry leaf – gently tones the uterus, rich in iron and minerals.

  • Yarrow – encourages pelvic circulation and supports gentle detoxification.

  • Ginger or cinnamon – warming and promotes blood flow.

Supplements

  • Iron bisglycinate (if blood loss is heavy)

  • Magnesium glycinate relieves cramping and supports detox pathways

  • Liver support: Milk thistle or dandelion root to assist hormonal clearing.

Rituals

  • Wear wool socks or slippers to keep pelvic circulation warm.

  • Use castor oil packs over your womb to support detox and relaxation.

  • Take salt baths with mugwort or rosemary.

Phase 2: Follicular (Days 6–13) — “The Build”
